Warsaw Dance Theatre was founded in January 2008. The idea came from founder and director Aleksandra Dziurosz – choreographer, dancer, contemporary dance teacher.
Officially the company was inaugurated by performing Chopin – ex-saturo with the music of Frederic Chopin. The event took place on July 28th 2008 at Łazienki Królewskie, during Chopiniana – Days of Frederic Chopin in Warsaw. In December 2008, during the Warsaw Dance Night, took place the premiere of Trwa-nie. That was the second production of Warsaw Dance Theatre. In November 2009 The Warsaw Dance Theatre performed new piece Ex-it – third performance of this company.
